Young Indian cricketer Ishan Kishan has rejected the opportunity given to participate in the Test series against England. He is saying that he is not ready for that.
The decision was reportedly taken due to the criticism of the Indian team’s two talented batsmen, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer, who were dropped from the state teams they played in the Ranji Trophy.
After that BCCI had decided to remove them from the list of centrally contracted players. But BCCI offered Ishan Kishan the opportunity to participate in this Test series and he declined. He also informed the BCCI that Nee would not be available for selection due to mental exhaustion following the previous one-day series against South Africa. Instead, he decided to practice on his own.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Ishan Kishan trained with Indian player Hardik Pandya in Baroda. Also, Seiyas Iyer was left out of India’s squad for the last three Tests due to groin and back injuries. For those reasons, the BCCI advised both of them to appear for the Ranji Trophy.
But the BCCI issued a second warning to both the players as they failed to comply with the instructions. By informing them of the consequences they may face for violating the instructions again.
Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav participated in the domestic DY Patil T20 tournament. Due to Ishan Kishan’s refusal, BCCI added youngster Dhurv Jurel to the team. Jurel scored 90 runs in the first innings in the 4th Test and scored 32 not out in the second innings and contributed to the victory of the Indian team.
Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer are going to participate in the IPL tournament. Shreyas Iyer will lead the KKR team and Ishan Kishan will join the MI team.
